About Us

Recent Changes at East Wind Ceremonies

In meeting the challenges of our world as it is, beginning August 1, 2020, East Wind Ceremonies will be offering "remote only" services.  Clients can choose to have individual sessions by phone, FaceTime, or Zoom. The past 4 months have proven to Kathryn that deep therapeutic work can take place in any situation where both people have a sincere intention to bring about healing and growth. Remote therapy has actually become a favorite method for many clients  as it is can be more convenient with busy schedules and long commutes!

Ongoing Circles will continue to be held by Zoom so that we may stay safely connected to community.  Many of us have found comfort in being able to stay in our own homes while still sharing our lives, the joys and the struggles, with other women. Please feel free to contact Kathryn to discuss options.

We Support Each Other

We support each other in working through our fears, depression, anxiety, and personal wounds. We help each other learn to set healthy boundaries so that we are able to make a positive impact in our families, communities and even globally.  Together we have created a safe place to explore our thoughts and feelings and be seen for who we are and who we are becoming.

Are you Looking for Such a Community?

In a time when many of us feel disconnected from traditional churches,  there is urgent need for meaningful relationships and spiritual exploration. Kathryn King is an Interfaith minister and a seasoned facilitator who is skilled at building bridges. Please join us if this sounds like what you are looking for!

Upcoming Events

Sunday Evening Zoom Book Circles

The pandemic has provided all of us with an opportunity to explore new avenues and find ways to stay connected.

This is not  your usual book study!   We light candles to add a sacred context.   We  share poetry and writing in our time together as well as deeply  exploring our own reactions to the book.  Since creative expression seems to deepen our learning, there will always be suggestions of art projects,   journaling, and other assignments during our time together.  You are free  to pick and choose with whatever will best support your journey.
A  supportive community awaits your discoveries!

This is a safe Circle to show up as you are and risk being vulnerable with new ideas and thoughts.  The recent months have shown us that deeper reflection and personal healing is needed for the health of our world-wide community.

You will need access to  Zoom and do your best to commit to attending all 4 sessions. We build a  sense of community by showing up for each other.  Often we offer year long Circles at East Wind Ceremonies so one of the beauties of this Circle is that you can sign up for the books you are interested in and take a break in between books if you want to!

We meet on Sunday evenings. Each month we will study one book and meet for 4 Sundays.

The cost is $50 per month.

Elizabeth Gilbert starts us off with an intriguing question, "What is Creativity?" Her answer, "The relationship between a human being and the mysteries of inspiration".  In Big Magic she covers topics such as Courage, Enchantment, Permission. Persistence, Trust and Divinity. Not your usual book on creativity!

This book is amazing for people who are already expressing themselves creatively and those who don't think they have a creative bone in their body!

No artistic experience needed - only an open mind. You will be free to do creative projects on your own during this class or just let the author inspire you.  Join us as we create some magic in the New Year!

The Unexpected Joy of the Ordinary by Catherine Gray might just be what we all need this month as we are still facing long winter days!

The author states, "Being disenchanted with our ordinary lives is our default; the Times New Roman of our evolution and biology. Our brain is naturally negatively biased. It zeroes in on what's wrong with our day, and where the predators and pitfalls are, before it lands on the positive.  It's not your brain's fault; its just trying to save your life. But, we can retrain our brain, thanks to the marvel of neuroplasticity."

Join with a lively  group of women and explore how you might enrich your life by choosing to focus the on the "ordinary" joys in life.

Please contact Kathryn if you have questions or to register.
